This year we have a kuduwa once more. Chandradasa Hewage, Anura Wijewardena and their team of volunteers have been working at it for many weeks, coming almost every evening to make the lantern. We cannot thank them enough for their generous donation of time and labour. Many dignitaries have been invited – Ven. Ajahn Brahmavamso, Ve. Bhikkhuni Hasapanna and Nuns from Dhammasara, the Honorary Consul for Sri Lanka, Mr. Frank Crawley, the President of the Buddhist Council of WA representing member Buddhist societies and temples, as well as representatives from the Premier and Minister for Multicultural affairs, the Mayor of Gosnells as well as other MPs and councillors. |
