Heartfelt Gratitude for the Sacred Relics Tour in Perth
On behalf of the Buddhist Council of Western Australia (BCWA) and the wider Buddhist community here in Perth, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Druk Community Centre of Australia for organising the recent visit of His Eminence the Second Kyabje Kalu Rinpoche and the Lord Buddha’s Sacred Relics Tour.
The presence of His Eminence Kyabje Kalu Rinpoche among us was a source of great inspiration and joy. We are deeply moved by His Eminence’s tireless dedication to sharing the Dharma and these holy objects globally. We are honoured that you chose to begin the Australian leg of this tour in Perth.
We understand the immense amount of planning, logistics, and dedication required to execute an event of this magnitude. Your team’s hard work created a flawless and serene environment at the Serbian Community Centre, allowing thousands of practitioners from Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana backgrounds to connect with these holy objects in a deeply meaningful way.
We also wish to formally recognize the Union Bouddhiste de France (UBF) for their extraordinary generosity in allowing these precious relics to travel to Western Australia. Their custodianship of these holy objects is a service to Buddhists worldwide.
Furthermore, we extend our heartfelt thanks to His Excellency Sonam Tobgay and the Royal Bhutanese Embassy for their invaluable support of the Bhutanese diaspora and the Druk community in Australia. Your Excellency’s presence and support throughout the event highlighted the enduring bond between our local community and the rich spiritual heritage of the Kingdom of Bhutan.
We pray for your long life and good health, and for the continued success of the Relics Tour as it travels across Australia. We hope that we may have the good fortune to welcome you back to Western Australia in the future.
With metta and gratitude,
Ms Natasha Tang JP
