The Buddhist Council of WA (BCWA) would like to thank Dr Mike Nahan MLA, Member for Riverton and his party colleagues for organizing a private reception at Parliament House on the occasion of Vesak Day on Tuesday 17th of May 2011.
We thank the PM for the following message which was sent to the Buddhist community through the President of the Federation of Australian Buddhist Councils on the occassion of Vesak Day 2011 which celebrated the birth, Enlightenment and passing of the Buddha Gautama in India 2,600 years ago:
