Australian Sangha meet in Perth
The Australian Sangha Association is an association of Australian Buddhist monks and nuns. The purpose of the ASA is to serve the needs of all Buddhist monks and nuns resident in Australia, without interfering in the internal affairs of any temple or monastery. It aims to promote the well-being of the Sangha, nurture its growth, and protect its interests.
This year the Sangha led by Ven Chi Kwang Sunim held their annual meeting in Perth which was hosted by Ajahn Brahm at the Jhana Grove Meditation Centre (Buddhist Society of WA). The meeting was also attended by three representatives of the FABC: Mr Kim Hollow (President-QLD), Dr Jake Mitra (Secretary-WA) and Mr Brian White (president of BCNSW). Among the topics that was discussed included the issue of live export.
