Kelmscott Buddhist Centre welcomes the Cambodian New Year

Saturday 13 April 2013 saw the Cambodian Buddhist Society of WA celebrating the Cambodian New Year in Perth. It was wonderful to see a Australians of all walks of life at the event which was well attended at their premises in Kelmscott. Read more »

Ven Courtin on ABC’s Q&A show

The ABC TV program Q&A is perhaps Australia’s number one current affairs program and so we were pleased to see Ven Robina Courtin on the show on 1st April 2013.

The Australian Buddhist community is looking forward to more Buddhist panelists, especially Buddhists who are based in Australia. We note that all other panelists on the show on 1st April are all based in Australia. Read more »

Lama Ole Nydahl Perth 2013

Lama Ole Nydahl will begin his 2013 Australian tour with a visit to Perth for two lectures.

The first lecture will be at 7.30pm March 5th  titled “Buddhism Today – Timeless Wisdom for Modern People”

The second lecture will be at 7.30pm March 6th titled “Death and Rebirth – A Buddhist Perspective”

2012 marked the 40th anniversary of Lama Ole’s Buddhist activity, in which he has inspired the growth and formation of 530 Buddhist centres around the world. Read more »
