Sincere condolences to the family of Queen Elizabeth II
Statement by the President Ms Marlene Robbins and committee of the Buddhist Council of WA:
On behalf of the Buddhist Communities of Western Australia, the Buddhist Council of Western Australia conveys its sincere condolences to the family of Queen Elizabeth II on the passing of Her Majesty.
Her Majesty gave her life to the service of her people and was exemplary in carrying out her duties as the Head of State for the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth nations.
She brought great stability, maturity and wisdom to this role and was admired countless people across her reign of seventy-two years.
Her Majesty embodied many of the principles praised as necessary for a leader, by Lord Buddha. Patience, kindness and self-restraint are values he praised and Her Majesty certainly showed these.
Her life of service was a shining example in a world often beset by difficulties. We wish His Majesty, King Charles the Third will follow Her Majesty’s example and lead his people in the same manner.
