The Passing of Marlene Robbins – March 2023
We are sad to announce the passing of our much loved and cherished long-term committee member Ms Marlene Robbins.
She will be remembered as the wonderful warm and kind human being she was. Everyone who knew her will remember her selfless nature and beaming smile.
Marlene has been a committee member and the immediate past president of the Buddhist Council of Western Australia representing the Hayagriva Buddhist Centre of WA. We were informed of her peaceful passing on Saturday 11 Mar which was a significant date on our calendar.
She has been very generous with her time and spirit and helped out as volunteer with many WA non-profit organisations. Even though Marlene was aware her days were numbered she still put her hand up to volunteer with us again on the present committee as Vice-President.
Thank-you for your exemplary leadership and friendship Marlene, and we know you are in a better realm, and that your journey through the ocean of samsara will be short, and that final liberation is close for you.
